Q: Who is eligible?

A person is eligible for My Carer Aged Care Services if they:

- can exercise control over their environment, direct and supervise their carer.

- in the case of disabled individuals who presents difficulties such as a severe speech impairment, the client may use a friend or advocate to train carers so that the client can interact effectively with the carers and manage and direct their service. 

Q: How do I apply? 

1. You first need to fill out an Appointment Enquiry application form or phone 0430 203 602.

2. Once application is received, a consultant will contact you to schedule an initial appointment.

3. Consultant will meet you to design a custom-tailored care plan to suit the needs of the individual and family.

Q: What happens after my initial appointment with a consultant? 

Consultant will advise outcome of your application immediately. You will then receive a confirmation letter acknowledging your application approval.

Q: Is there a waiting list? 

No, there is no waiting list. From the moment your application is approved, you will receive service and be assigned to an experienced carer immediately. 

Q: How much will it cost?

We charge an hourly rate for our services and depending on the service(s) and the level of care required the rate will vary accordingly. Our rates are affordable and very competitive. Your consultant will discuss all the fees with you during the initial appointment.

Q: What happens if I need to cancel my service or appointment? 

Service - As long as you notify us 24 hours in advance (either by phone or email), there would be no charges to you. However, if you decide to change the service arrangement after 24 hours notification on the day of your service, we reserve the right to charge you for a late cancellation fee.

Appointment - There are no charges incurred to cancel an initial appointment with a consultant. Please notify us 24 hours in advance.

Q: What happens if I do not use all my allocated hours of service? 

If you do not use all hours in a week because you get informal or other supports you can save those hours to use at a later date. 

Q: What if I need a carer immediately? Do you provide emergency care services? 

Yes, we do. For all urgent matters or you require a carer within 2 hours, please contact Laura Fu on 0430 203 602. We will attend to your urgent needs promptly and a carer will usually arrive within 30-60 minutes (depending on traffic). Please Note: An additional fee for emergency care services will apply.

Q: What if I have a complaint? 

We take our approach to care very seriously. Should there be a complaint about the way in which the application and approval process was administered, the conduct of a consultant or care professional, or a more general complaint about our programs and products, you can email, phone or write to our Manager of My Carer Aged Care Services. All the complaints received will be handled accordingly.
